Jazzman on the Bridge

A broken man plays
 A broken horn twisted
  Upwards upon the bridge
   Overpass left walkway
     Music blues tin ancient new
I toss him a coin
 The ledge over deep splash
   For his hat claimed he
    Was the flowing river clean
      Abandoning wealth in partiality
My payment let go
 Appreciation for tunes
  Played so willfully soothingly
   Constantly my ear does hear
    The music played sweeter
My weight lighter indeed
For so simple is such
To drop a nickel
                                   into the sea
